An exploration of the multi-layered relationship between the moving image, narrative and perception, Objects in the Mirror questions the the paradoxical demands that cinema places upon its viewers. Looking at the logic of storytelling and the role our imagination plays in constructing a narrative, the exhibition sets out to blur the margins between depiction and deception. On show in the Project Space (formerly Gallery 2) of Tate Modern, presentation highlights includes a viewing of Mano de Boer film Dissonant, video work by Jan Mancuska and the video installation Powerchord Skateboard 2006, by Sherif El-Azma.
