England's autumn series gets underway at Twickenham with a fixture against Fiji. The first of four QBE Autumn Internationals, the match will provide Stuart Lancaster's team with a tough test ahead of games with the Australians, the South Africans and the world champion New Zealanders. One of the game's great entertaining sides, Fiji arrive in London having never beaten England in four previous attempts. They are hampered by the decision of many Fijian-born players to play for the neighbouring superpowers of Australia and New Zealand, such as Joe Rokocoko and Lote Tuqiri, but still manage to play a brand of rugby that is both a joy to watch and threatening. That said, England should have too much for them at headquarters this afternoon. Visit www.rfu.com/tickets for more.
About Twickenham Stadium
The home of English rugby at Twickenham is England's second largest stadium (after Wembley Stadium), with steeply banked stands that create an impressive roar when an international match is in progress. While rugby remains very much a second-choice sport in the rest of southern England, the stadium has had a profound effect on the whole surrounding area: Twickenham is the only part of London where the pubs will show rugby matches in preference to football, and where you're far more likely to hear Swing Low, Sweet Chariot than any football club songs.
