Walk, run or jog 5K - it doesn't matter how you do it - as long as you complete the distance and take part in the Race for Life, an annual nationwide event which raises money for Cancer Research. There are several opportunities to get involved, with runs organised at various venues across London and throughout the summer starting at Battersea Park on Wednesday 6th May. The run held on Sunday 5th July at Blackheath also gives runners who feel up for a challenge the chance to push themselves that little bit further with a double the distance run, covering 10K. If you've never done a run like this before and you're not sure how far 5K is, think of it as not much further than walking down Oxford Street, into Covent Garden and finishing on Regent Street via Soho. Doesn't seem so bad does it?
