The very essence of Spain and the secrets of Seville are served up in this acclaimed in-the-round production of the world's most popular opera. Raymond Gubbay's take on Bizet's 19th century French opera Carmen returns to the Royal Opera House for a limited run of 14 performances, telling the story of a captivating love triangle between Carmen, a fiery gypsy girl, her hapless prison guard Don Jose, and the glamorous bullfighter Escamillo. Brimming with passion and jealousy, Bizet's rich and timeless score contains some of opera's finest and most recognisable arias - including Song of the Toreador and Flower Song.
