Rebel Bingo
THIS EVENT ENDED ON THE 9TH MARCH 2013

Dispelling the myth that bingo is a pastime only for the golden oldies, Rebel Bingo has taken the game into unknown territory: London's nightlife scene. Taking place at Scala, it's risqué, it's crude and, being honest, it's only loosely based around bingo. The night does welcome a ringleader and his assistants, all of whom will be dressed to the nines in Lady GaGa-esque attire, to call out numbers in a fashion that would make your Granny squirm, and it boasts a number of kitsch prizes. However, the main event is the party. With music, cocktails, burlesque performers and a carnival atmosphere that continues past any community centre's closing hours, this is quite simply an intoxicating and hedonistic evening with the addition of a few bingo balls.
About Scala
Housed inside the old King's Cross Cinema, the Scala might be a bit tattered around the edges but this only adds to its battered charm. The venue welcomed legends like Iggy Pop during the 70s, but didn't become a purely music venue until 1993. More about Scala
