Reginald D Hunter: The Only Apple In The Garden Of Eden And Niggas is in the London Borough of Westminster
Soho Theatre for an exclusive London run of his brand new stand-up act. Brutally honest, a true troublemaker, insightful, intelligent and plain stupid in equal measures, Reginald D Hunter is one of the few performers to have been nominated for the Perrier Award in three consecutive years. Hailing from the US city of Georgia, the charismatic Hunter is renowned for his trademark Deep South drawl and cool delivery, combining race ("What would comedy be if middle-class white people weren't offended?"), politics ("Batman is a conservative's wet-dream") and race ("Thanks to travelling round, I have gotten over my fear of white people"), Hunter pulls no punches. His preview at the Fringe this year was panned by critics for being too short - "the comedic equivalent of premature ejaculation" (The Guardian ) - but seats are already sold out for this run which, if polished, should prove irresistible. A limited number of standing tickets are still available at the time of writing.
