Richmond Theatre Open DayAs part of its 120th birthday celebrations, Richmond Theatre is hosting an Open Day for the first time in 10 years. The one-day event will invite visitors to enjoy a special behind-the-scenes look of the theatre with unrivalled access to the venue, including spaces that aren't normally accessible. The creative learning department will be on hand to host special activities with the chance to practice a monologue on stage or rewire a lantern while the management team will explain how they programme the theatre. It's the perfect opportunity to discover the inner workings of a London theatre.

About Richmond Theatre

The Victorian Richmond Theatre, which opened on 18 September 1899 with a performance of As You Like It, is one of the best examples of work by theatrical architect Frank Matcham. The interior is ornate, with lots of gilt detailing and plush fabrics. More about Richmond Theatre
