Visitor Information
After spending 30 days in London, working with UK collaborators including the Battersea Arts Centre, Rio Occupation comes to an epic conclusion with a Festival Finale - a three day indoor festival in the Huge V22 Summer Club at the Biscuit Factory in Bermondsey. This celebration of Rio De Janiero's culture sees artists including Laura Lima, DJ Joao Brasil, and the food and musical collective Brazilian Kitchen, showcase their talents and take part in discussions with the audience. In conjunction with the Rio State Secretariat of Culture. To book a free ticket go to the Battersea Arts Centre website.
About The Biscuit Factory
Peek Frean & Co made biscuits here in Bermondsey for 123 years, from 1866 until 1989 when the factory closed. Home to baked goods like the Bourbon and the Garibaldi, The Biscuit Factory was also where the Twiglet was born. The first mass producer of biscuits, they also made the 6ft wedding cake for Queen Elizabeth II's wedding. More about The Biscuit Factory
