Whitechapel Gallery revisits its original Mark Rothko solo exhibition dating from 1961, with works including the painting Light Red Over Black, original photographs and letters, and material from other archives never shown previously. Curated by Nayia Yiakoumaki.
About Whitechapel Gallery
Designed in a distinctive Arts and Crafts architecture style by Charles Harrison Townsend, the Whitechapel, Britain's first purpose-built arts gallery, is renowned both for the beauty of its light, airy space and for embracing the local community in its work.
