Actor Rupert Everett, who recently appeared on the London stage as Oscar Wilde in The Judas Kiss, returns to the city as part of the London Literature Festival to discuss his career, the nature of reputation and his two best-selling memoirs. His Vanished Years, which recently won the Sheridan Morley prize for memoir, was praised by the judges as a 'surprising, hilarious and wise' follow-up to the British actor's first autobiography Red Carpets and Other Banana Skins. No stranger to controversy, Everett's next acting role will see him play the part of Pope Benedict XVI, the adamantly anti-gay former pope, in an upcoming biopic.
