This year, the London Jazz Festival invites Salif Keita - known as "The Golden Voice of Africa" - to perform. Returning to London for the first time in two years, Keita is at the forefront of modern Malian music and has a distinctive musical voice. He combines rock, funk and jazz with West African griot traditions. The Evening Standard describes his voice as "grainy and searing tenor, its power continues to drop jaws, cause goosebumps".
About Southbank Centre
