Salif KeitaThis year, the London Jazz Festival invites Salif Keita - known as "The Golden Voice of Africa" - to perform. Returning to London for the first time in two years, Keita is at the forefront of modern Malian music and has a distinctive musical voice. He combines rock, funk and jazz with West African griot traditions. The Evening Standard describes his voice as "grainy and searing tenor, its power continues to drop jaws, cause goosebumps".

About Southbank Centre

London's hub of cultural arts, The Southbank Centre announced in March 2013 that it's set for a £100 million revamp that will see the 1960s design finally move into the 21st century with a proposal that includes a floating glass pavilion, two more roof gardens, a space for riverside arts and a large pedestrian area.
