In the world of flamenco, Caditz-born dancer Sara Baras, is "one of the classiest, most contemporary flamencas," according to The Times. In March she makes her Royal Albert Hall debut, performing in the vast concert hall for three nights. Sara, "as sleek and fierce as a lynx", (The Independent) is joined on stage by a company of dancers and musicians in a show which draws on the repertoire from all nine of the shows she has toured with her company over the last eleven years. These include 'Sabores' which was shown in London at Sadler's Wells in the summer of 2008, a show in which The Evening Standard noted, "an almost lurid precision to her moves". Baras upholds the tradition of the dance while giving it her own distinctive contemporary style and, given that she has already broken records with her long running flamenco show in Madrid, these Albert Hall performances will be something special.
