"In a Sunday Shoot anyone can walk in and almost anything can happen," says photographer Seamus Ryan. It's this element of surprise that appeals to both photographer and sitter at his Sunday Shoots just off Columbia Road Flower Market. The appeal of these weekly sessions is that they're open to all so you can have your picture taken by an award-winning photographer whose talents have been recognised by the Association of Photographers and D & AD - absolutely free. The resulting images are then posted on his website www.sundayshoots.com and are available to browse or buy. Taking a break from his day job which includes creating advertising images for clients like Nike, Guinness and British Airways, Seamus picks a theme each Sunday - perhaps Project Hug or Scream & Shout - and is never short of a volunteer to step up to the lens. Tom Stoppard happened to stop by one Sunday; the resulting picture now hangs in the National Portrait Gallery.
