'I Shop, Therefore I Am' is the winter catchphrase of this colossal department store, an elegant heaven (or hell) of a hundred different parts where you could easily spend a couple of days. This famous store combines standard goods with heaps of razzle-dazzle. All-embracing, hugely exciting and fantastically chic, Selfridges is a one-stop shop.
Do be wary, Selfridges is profitably loyal to expensive names so you could squander your entire sales budget on one very slightly reduced Prada handbag. Try and circumvent the best of Mui Mui, Mulberry, Balenciaga and Burberry, unless, of course, you're made of money!
However, they have a range of more affordable options from Topshop and Diesel to Warehouse and Karen Millen that will definitely treat sale foragers to some cut-price goodies. There will be bargains for boys too. Paul Smith, John Smedley, Guess and Hugo Boss are just a few of the names to check out. Products in shoes, homewares, lingerie and accessories may also see some welcome reductions.
Before you leave, prolong the seasonal celebrations and enjoy a glass of the finest in Selfridges' Moet Champagne Bar.
