Location Map of Shakespeare and the Gunpowder Plot

To mark the 400th anniversary of Guy Fawkes's attempt to blow up the King and the Houses of Parliament, Shakespeare's Globe is launching an explosive interactive exhibition in partnership with the Metropolitan Police and the National Archives.

Using up-to-the-minute, modern day detective techniques combined with age-old original archive manuscripts, participants have the chance to review and analyse the evidence against Guy Fawkes and his band of Catholic conspirators.

Were these infamous rebels truly guilty of a powerful, well-organised, foresighted and strategic plot to wipe-out Protestantism in England? Or were they just a group of misguided rebels encouraged and framed by those in power?

The decision is yours.

Crime-busters will be able to register their opinion in a vote at the end of each visit.

This engaging, educational and hands-on exhibition is a perfect family event situated in a glorious and historic riverside location.

A chance to play a part in history.
