The Prince Charles Cinema is a fine institution, an irreverent, cheap cinema screening worthy movies and slasher pics in the heart of the West End, an area otherwise dominated by multiplex dross. One of their smart ideas is to hold occasional screenings of classic movies where the audience, instead of being told to keep quiet, are positively encouraged to get involved.
This classic musical film with Julie Andrews et al is the best of the bunch. You can boo the Nazis, cheer the action, and subtitles are provided during the classic songs. These screenings have been a massive success, so book early as the word is spreading. Some people could have no worse nightmare than a cinema full of shouting laughing people, but if you think you might enjoy this, then you definitely will. Hilarious, uplifting fun.
