Nearby Snozzcumbers and Frobscottle! The Wonderful World of Roald Dahl and Quentin Blake

Climb into the BFG's cave at the Museum of Childhood where the stories written by Roald Dahl and illustrated by Quentin Blake are explored through a special exhibition, Snozzcumbers and Frobscottle! This splendiferous exhibition organised by Seven Stories gives visitors an insight into Roald Dahl's wondercrump world, beautifully drawn by Quentin Blake. Working with the writer, Quentin recalls how, one day, he got a parcel through the post, only to discover a large Norwegian sandal, the type worn by the BFG. The sandal is on display here along with over 80 pieces including illustrations of the BFG carefully cradling a teeny Sophie. The exhibition explores how the writer and artist worked together and there's also an audio recording of Dahl reading his stories as well as a film of Blake at work in his London studio. Quentin Blake joins in the festivities for a special Bank Holiday weekend of Snozzcumbers and Frobscottle mayhem, putting in an appearance on Monday 2nd May - bring your favourite Quentin Blake book and get it signed by the much loved illustrator himself.About V & A Museum of Childhood
