I remember the days when the whole country closed down for Easter, and young people spent their Sundays hunting for chocolate eggs with their families before going to church, rather than going in for all this 11-hour Soundcrash Mash-up nonsense. This gross insult to family values features no less than 13 acts, including hip-hop novelty nutter Infinite Livez, and the Buttercuts' Illa Man. It's a particularly insidious event, because Cargo has such good food that it may encourage many people not to bother having Sunday lunch with their families. We fear that there are going to be all kinds of people who would prefer to bounce around to the hottest up-and-coming names in hip-hop, breaks and electro, all being pounded out on Cargo's crisp soundsystem, than to spend a traditional Easter Sunday listening to Handel's Messiah on Radio 3. The sort of event that makes the Easter bunny cry.
