St GermainThe pioneer of French Touch, real name Ludovic Navarre, whose eclectic style melds house, acid jazz and nu-jazz, comes to Somerset House this July. After the success of his 2000 album Tourist, a hugely popular hybrid of dance music and jazz, it took Navarre five years of research and experimentation into the music of West Africa, spending time in the Malian communities of Paris, to create his eponymous new album. This Saturday night concert is a one-off chance to hear the beautiful sounds of St. Germain fill the Somerset House courtyard on a summer's evening.

About Somerset House

Somerset House, once the site of a spectacular Tudor palace, now includes a magnificent 18th century art gallery housing celebrated collections belonging to the Courtauld Institute Gallery, as well as the Embankment Galleries (which replaced the Hermitage Rooms and The Gilbert Collection - the latter re-opened at the Victoria and Albert Museum in June 2009).
