A short and pretty walk downstream from Tower Hill, St Katharine Docks will host a series of Winter Wonderland Fridays throughout November and December this year. With the Good Food Market present, Winter Wonderland Fridays will boast various food stalls with a festive flair set out right by the water in Marble Quay Courtyard. Outside, the pretty Dickens Inn will have their own mulled wine stand for those who seek a warming treat. Throw in St Katharine Docks' largest tree to date, The Honesty Shop Bus, some carolers, and this should be quite an event. If you haven't been to St Katharine Docks before, it's a must: combining Victorian heritage and sleek modern office blocks, apartments, shops and restaurants, it's a great spot for a walk, all set out around a fully functioning waterway that continues to attract maritime visitors in the shape of yachts and barges.
About St Katharine Docks
It was the great engineer Thomas Telford who oversaw the building work of St Katharine Docks which began in 1827. In its heyday, as a major transport hub, the docks saw the import and storage of exotic and valuable goods including ivory and marble. More about St Katharine Docks
