Stadia: Sport and Vision in ArchitectureThis exhibition explores the origins of the world's great sporting arenas and the momentous events that have been housed within their stadium walls. This is a unique chance for sport and architecture enthusiasts to take a close look at the relationship between history's sporting events and the iconic structures in which they took place. From the violent and bloody Roman games to the religious inspired competitions of ancient Greece, it couldn't be more relevant as London enters its Olympic year. Sir John Soane's Museum offers visitors the chance to journey through time and understand the architectural developments which have influenced the creation of the current Stratford stadium.

About Sir John Soane's Museum

An appealingly higgledy-piggledy treasure trove of artefacts, the extraordinary Sir John Soane's Museum elegantly located on Lincoln's Inn Fields is well worth an exploratory rummage. Lurking in nooks and crannies within the sprawling rooms and halls of neo-classical architect Sir John Soane's former residence are over 30,000 architectural drawings and antiquities.
