Comedienne Shappi Khorsandi, who was forced to flee from Iran to London when she was younger, hosts a benefit gig in aid of Omid International, a small charity that helps streets kids in India and young asylum seekers in the UK. Omid means hope in Iranian and this charity provides peer mentors, financial, educational and psychological support for vulnerable children in the UK and India, providing the opportunity for them to transform their lives. The evening will see the likes of Milton Jones, David Baddiel and Dan Antopolski take to the stage for an evening of humorous entertainment.
About Soho Theatre
The Soho Theatre Company was formed in 1969 by Verity Bargate and Fred Proud, but it didn't have a permanent home until 2000, when its current Dean Street location opened. This modern space was the first theatre to be built with National Lottery money. More about Soho Theatre
