StevieZo Wanamaker stars in this major revival of Hugh Whitemore's award-winning drama. Staged at the Hampstead Theatre, Stevie provides a moving glimpse into the unconventional life of celebrated English poet and novelist Stevie Smith, showing the contrast between her tame suburban evenings sampling Battenberg cake and sherry with the undeniable talent that will one day bring her fame. Lynda Baron and Chris Larkin will star alongside Wanamaker while Christopher Morahan directs.

About Hampstead Theatre

The Hampstead Theatre has existed in various forms since 1959, when it opened in a Scout Hall and its opening season in 1959 included two new plays by Harold Pinter, The Room and The Dumb Waiter. In 1962 the company moved to a portacabin in Swiss Cottage where it remained for nearly 40 years. More about Hampstead Theatre
