Summer StreetsEvery Sunday in July Regent Street is banning traffic for their Summer Streets series. The four-week event will see every Sunday take a different theme, including Love Food, Love Fashion and a special 25th birthday celebration for Magnum. Garden Party (6th July) sees the street transformed into a real life garden party, complete with family activities and a butterfly exhibition; Love Food (13th July) will celebrate the street's vibrant food scene with 60 restaurants and independent vendors setting up stalls; and Love Fashion (20th July) provides the chance for visitors to get a makeover and strut their stuff on a catwalk. The event concludes on Sunday 27th July with Magnum's 25th Birthday Party, where members of the public will be able to enjoy freshly dipped Magnums at the Dipping Bar, with 25,000 magnums set to be dipped throughout the day. Plus, designer Henry Holland will showcase a £5,000 dress inspired by the magnum collection, which will be on display and available to win throughout the day. For more information visit the official Summer Streets website.

About Regent Street

Don't be put off by the fact that Nash's sweeping design for Regent Street was inspired as a means of separating the riff-raff (Soho) from the well to do (Mayfair) back in the 1800s. Home to a number of large outlets offering everything from toys and trench coats to fabrics and food, Regent Street is a great place to window shop if nothing else. More about Regent Street
