Your kids, aged three to eight, will love getting involved in this multi-sensory experience where they can follow the life of a butterfly or chase caterpillars. From the people who brought us the Japanese, Kurdish and Italian Gardens Triology, Teatro di Piazza o d'Occasione's latest work uses the same touch sensitive carpet to allow children to paint virtually or compose music with their feet. TPO Company: Butterflies is just part of the UK's first ever National Family Week at the Southbank Centre, which includes a number activities for all the family to enjoy. You can also see live performances from some of the best musicals currently running in the West End.About Southbank Centre: Purcell Room
Housed in the same modernist block as the Royal Festival Hall and sandwiched between it and the Hayward Gallery, the Purcell Room has a 372-seat auditorium, making it especially suitable for chamber music, mime, soloists and cabaret. With the London Philharmonic Orchestra having its home at the Royal Festival Hall, they regularly put on concerts in the Purcell Room. More about Southbank Centre: Purcell Room
