Tales From The Arabian NightsThe first promenade production by London Bubble, the South-East London theatre company well known for their family friendly theatre, returns this August as they perform Tales from the Arabian Nights in Southwark Park (from 1st to 6th August) and Greenwich Park (9th to 19th August). Their first summer show in seven years, Farhana Sheikh's play has been reimagined and rewritten, reworking ancient Indian and Middle Eastern tales and embellishing them with exotic music and dancing. Follow the promenade and you'll find yourself "caught up in an enchanted world of kings and queens and prophetic apes and metamorphosing he-goats" (Independent).

About Southwark Park

Southwark Park in Bermondsey first opened its gates to the public in 1869 and was one of the earliest parks to be opened by the Metropolitan Board of Works. Covering an area of 63 acres, the design of the park is attributed to Alexander McKenzie (who also landscaped Finsbury Park) and offers fantastic wide-open spaces, perfect for playing games, picnics, walking or just enjoying the scenery.
