Mediaeval roof tiles, Elizabethan clay pipes and Roman remains have all been found on Thames Beachcombing guided tours. Under the expert guidance of Fiona, an Inter-tidal Aracheologist and a member of the London Walks team, you can search the 'beaches' of the Thames in all the best spots. This winter favourable tides have improved the chances of beachcombing and because the foreshore changes every day there's every chance you'll find something different each time you come. Sensible shoes and a bag for the goodies you're going to find are recommended - who knows, you may even find a 4,500-year-old artefact from Mesolithic London as previous beachcombers on this tour have. To join the Thames Beachcombing tour meet Fiona at Mansion House Tube, exit 1.Location map of Thames Beachcombing
