Coming to a bandstand near you, this unique one day music marathon aims to bring live music and performance to parks across the UK, with a target of 500 events nationwide. In London there are at least 18 venues signed up, including Regents Park - where Klezmer in the Park takes place. Battersea Park, Paddington Recreation Ground, Clapham Common and Twickenham's Diamond Jubilee Gardens are just some of the London bandstands where you can see an afternoon of live music for free. Taking place throughout the UK from 1pm to 5pm, at 2pm musicians across the country will perform their versions of Coldplay's Viva La Vida simultaneously. The Bandstand Marathon is now in its fifth year and celebrates local music talent and united communities, it has been chosen as one of the closing events of the London 2012 Festival.
