The Black Cat CabaretLaunched at the beginning of 2013, The Black Cat Cabaret is a decadent and otherworldly show that enthrals audiences every Friday night in the grand Titanic Ballroom of Caf de Paris. With the co-creators of Boom Boom Club and La Rve inviting their most exceptional performers to showcase their talents, the result is a truly unique experience. Guests are welcomed into a weird and wonderful, glamorous and extravagant world that's descendant of the legendary Le Chat Noir Club in Paris. Using the absinthe-soaked heyday of Montmartre's dark cabaret underworld as inspiration, the show boasts an intriguing carnival of street singers and mad musicians, acrobats, dancers and illusionists, delirious comics and exotic artistes. After being seated by a gentleman who is more than he first appears, guests are then introduced to the evening's proceedings by compere Dusty Limits, who sets the tone for the show with his dark and dirty humour. Following this, audiences are taken on a madcap journey to hell and back. The programme of acts changes on a weekly basis but regulars include Vicky Butterfly, incorporating burlesque, ballet, circus and athletics; The East End Cabaret, an accordion playing he-she and a smouldering sphinx who successfully blend smut, wit and intellect; the fire breathing Pig from Hell, disgusting yet captivating; Cabaret Rouge, resident showgirls who capture the essence of a Paris nightclub; and Katharine Arnold, an enchanting aerialist who concludes the show in spectacular fashion. Those who opt for dinner tickets are also treated to a sumptuous meal and close-up pre-show performances. Despite London being a hotbed for cabaret shows, The Black Cat Cabaret is certainly leading the way.
