The Blind TigerA new late night Soho bar opens just for the summer. Below DUM Biryani House on Wardour Street, The Blind Tiger (a nickname given to speakeasies in the 1920s) is a subterranean bar styled on the illicit drinking dens of Hyderabad, the spiritual home of the biryani. Recreating those under the radar, late-night bars here in Soho, The Blind Tiger is the place to go for hip-hop, a lively atmosphere and a lax liquor license. To soak up the cocktails, sipped into the early hours, are small plates and snacks that pay tribute to the flavours of Andhra Pradesh, on India's southeastern coast, and Telangana. Dishes on the menu include pumpkin papdi chaat, crisp flatbreads with masala pumpkin, yoghurt and chutney, and hot and sour kodi vepudu wings with crispy ginger.

About Dum Biryani House

An addition to London's one-dish restaurant circuit, Dum Biryani House specialises in warming, south Indian-style biryanis and is known for its hip-hop playlists and lively atmosphere. Formerly of The Fat Duck and Hibiscus, Dhruv Mittal brings a wealth of experience to Soho, cooking Telugu dishes from the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana regions. More about Dum Biryani House
