Visitor Information
A unique and special way to mark 60 years since the Queen came to the throne, the Coronation Festival is a four-day celebratory event showing the work of Royal Warrant holders. Over 200 companies who hold the Royal Warrant will be showcasing their crafts, industries, designs and innovations in the gardens of Buckingham Palace. Over the festival period, there will also be three evening Gala performances showcasing British performing art talent in a celebration of music and dance over the past 60 years. Katherine Jenkins, Russell Watson, Katie Melua, Laura Wright and rock band The Feeling top the festival's evening music programme which will also feature performances by the National Youth Orchestra, English National Ballet - including its artistic director Tamara Rojo - and Matthew Bourne's New Adventures. The evening opens with a fanfare of trumpets followed by Dame Kiri Te Kanawa singing the national anthem. The night ends with Russell Watson and Katherine Jenkins joined by Only Boys Aloud for what will undoubtedly be a rousing finale to a series of very special nights.
