This summer the West Norwood Cemetery, one of London's 'magnificent seven' cemeteries, will be hosting The Curious Trail. The trail gives 22 new and established artists a unique platform for their site-responsive work. Sculptures, ceramics, sound, textiles, photography and poetry will create a magical trail around the gothic cemetery, exploring notable burials, histories and themes. Artists taking part in the event include Frances Burden, Robert Dawson, Marc Elmes and Deborah Gardner. A created especially for the trail will also be available. Further events during the trail include a live evening event in the Greek section of the cemetery (6th July), an open day with a programme of artists' talks (7th July) and a grand picnic for the common dead (21st July).
