The Drawer BoyThe Drawer Boy tells the tale of Miles, a young actor in rural Canada who is seeking material for a new play. In his quest Miles meets Morgan and Angus, two farmers, who welcome him into their world. By doing this however, Miles' search for a story unravels a devastating truth that threatens to destroy his hosts' lives forever. Written by the multi-award winning Canadian playwright Michael Healey, The Drawer Boy opened to critical acclaim in 1999 ("a beautifully written play - it moves from toughness and hilarity to something devastating and tender" - Michael Ondaatje) and entertained countless audiences in a run which was crowned by winning multiple theatre awards, including the Dora Mayor Moore Award for Best New Play and the Governor General's Literary Award. Performed as part of the Finborough Theatre's Summer Season 2010, which is also celebrating the 30th anniversary of the West Brompton venue, The Drawer Boy offers the perfect chance to see one of the best productions of Canadian theatre in the London Fringe Theatre scene.

About Finborough Theatre

The Finborough Theatre in Earls Court punches well above its weight, presenting award-winning plays and works by new writers in a small theatre above a pub. Founded in 1980, the Finborough has just 50 seats creating an intimate space for its productions which focus on developing new writing, rediscovering neglected works and presenting the best of the old and new in an eclectic programme.
