Young audiences are in for a treat when jazz and cabaret singer Barb Jungr joins a cast of caterpillars for the Little Angel's latest family production, The Fabulous Flutterbys. Barb has written the music and provides the husky vocals, including a blues-singing Slow Worm Joe, for this new tale about Hamish and Grace, two caterpillars on a journey through the insect world. The Little Angel's Artistic Director Peter Glanville directs this tale of the trials and tribulations the two encounter in the modern, changing world. While looking for their missing friend the caterpillars come across a patch of mean strawberries and Adam and his army of marching ants. They eventually manage to eat their way to success becoming beautiful flutterbys by the end. Ages 3+
About The Little Angel Theatre
The Little Angel Theatre was founded by John Wright in 1961 in a derelict temperance hall in Islington. Every type of puppet is used, and themes, styles and stories are drawn from a wide range of cultural traditions. The company tours throughout the UK and abroad and The Little Angel also has an extensive Education Programme, which works with schools and youth groups. More about The Little Angel Theatre
