The Gardens of Regent StreetRegent Street hosts its final Summer Streets party this Sunday, titled The Gardens of Regent Street. Clearing the famous street of all traffic and supporting the Mayor's Clean Air Campaign, the street is literally going green for the day. Visitors will be able to stroll among trees and plants, learn about how to make a greener London and find out how to create the perfect urban garden. Further highlights of the day include live acrobatic performances, live jazz music from Harry's Band, Nike dancing, a honey been tent and, of course, a couple of bars serving refreshing tipples. A number of bars and restaurants will also be partaking: Strada and Fornata will provide food tastings, Ice Bar will welcome two outdoor ice sculptures and some cute huskies, and Caffe Concerto and Café Royal provide the perfect place for some al fresco dining.

About Regent Street

Don't be put off by the fact that Nash's sweeping design for Regent Street was inspired as a means of separating the riff-raff (Soho) from the well to do (Mayfair) back in the 1800s. Home to a number of large outlets offering everything from toys and trench coats to fabrics and food, Regent Street is a great place to window shop if nothing else. More about Regent Street
