The Royal Collection presents the best
surviving body of work from one of the great Baroque artists, Giovanni
Benedetto Castiglione. The artist led a troubled life filled with
violence and excess, yet despite this he produced some of the finest
Italian drawings and prints of his time, depicting rural landscapes and
scenes of animals. He worked predominantly with oil and combined
printmaking and drawing to create the monotype technique.

Once Buckingham Palace's resident chapel, the Queen's Gallery was opened in 1962 and holds regularly changing exhibitions.
