Photographs and garments documenting the history of the British couture label founded by Belinda Bellville with designers David Sassoon and Lorcan Mullany. The Glamour of Bellville Sassoon charts the history of British fashion from the couture houses of the late 1950s and looks at the influence of Vogue patterns, bringing do-it-yourself style to the everyday consumer.

About Fashion and Textile Museum

The fashionista behind the Fashion and Textile Museum is Zandra Rhodes, the colourful designer who won the Designer of the Year award in 1972 and in 1974. Despite her flamboyant and out there designs she became a Royal Designer for Industry and was made Commander of the British Empire in 1997. More about Fashion and Textile Museum
