The Great GatsbyTo celebrate the re-opening of the wonderful Wilton's Music Hall following much-needed repairs, Peter Joucla's Tour de Force Theatre production of The Great Gatsby returns to the enchanting East End venue for a six-week run. The immersive adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's great American novel was a sell-out success during its first run last May, described by The Telegraph as "an unashamed nostalgia party for a world we never knew". The audience are encouraged to dapperly dress in their 20s best for this night of jazz, glitz and Prohibition-themed decadence at the Wilton's speakeasy. There's no better way to get geared up for the belated summer release of Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby movie.

 

About Wilton's Music Hall

In the nineteenth century, Wilton's Music Hall was a great mirrored hall lit by a vast chandelier, with 27,000 crystals and 300 gas jets. Opera, operetta, variety shows and old-style music hall were played out to raucous cockney audiences of over 2000.
