The Last WordThe Roundhouse celebrates the spoken word this June with its three-week festival, The Last Word. Bringing together the biggest names and rising stars in the industry, it offers a line-up of poetry, podcasts, sound clashes, supper clubs and shows, blurring the lines between spoken word, music, circus and cabaret to provoke conversations around issues in today's society. There's a four-day poetry slam with the final on 6th June, a spoken word forum with Equity X, and a Syrian Supper Club with a side-serving of spoken word performances.

About Roundhouse

It's great to see this fabulous arts venue re-open its doors after a stunning refurbishment. Boasting a colourful history, the Roundhouse initially started life as an engine shed. It was later transformed into a bonded warehouse for Gilbey's Gin before Arnold Wesker the playwright came along in 1964 and established Centre 42 here, insisting it became one of the most cutting-edge performing arts venue in the country.
