The London International Ska FestivalLee Scratch Perry plays at the Jazz Cafe on the opening night of The London International Ska Festival, getting the festival off to a strong start. Originally launched in 1988, this four-day festival returns to the capital over the Easter weekend (2nd to 5th April 2015) and invites 50 acts to perform at the Jazz Cafe, The Forum, The Forge and the Dixie Queen cruiser in celebration of all things Ska. Confirmed acts for the 2015 festival include Sir Horace Uptown Ska Collective (from The Specials), Rhoda Dakar from The Bodysnatchers, Everett Morton from The Beat's new band Beat Goes Bang, and DJ Don Letts who is credited with bringing dub and reggae to the London punk Mecca, The Roxy, in the 1970s.

About Jazz Cafe

The youngest and funkiest of London's live jazz venues is everything a jazz bar should be - small, friendly and in love with music. The live acts at the Jazz Cafe come from every genre influenced by jazz, and it's one of the best places in London to hear classic soul, old skool hip-hop and reggae and laid-back breakbeats.
