Every Londoner or tourist to the city should at some point pay a visit to Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, which this summer will be showcasing a revival of the 2008 hit production of The Merry Wives of Windsor. The play, which is credited with creating the farcical traditions that have since become commonplace in situation comedy, features the Mistresses Ford and Page turning the tables on Falstaff. Christopher Luscombe's hysterical and critically acclaimed production two years ago was tagged "the feel-good hit of the summer" by The Telegraph, while the Evening Standard described it as "the best and freshest work seen at the Globe".
