The PrideAcclaimed director Jamie Lloyd's production of Alexi Kaye Campbell's play won an Olivier Award and was nominated for two Evening Standard awards when it ran at the Royal Court in 2008. Following a much anticipated-revival and superb reviews last year when it played in the West End, The Pride comes to Richmond with Naomi Sheldon taking over the role of Sylvia from Hayley Atwell.
The play focuses on a love triangle between Oliver (Al Weaver), a children's author, Sylvia, an illustrator who collaborates with him on a book, and her husband Phillip (Harry Hadden-Paton). It begins in 1948 and then leaps to the present day when relationships between the three have been reconfigured, so to speak, with Oliver and Phillip in a relationship, and Sylvia as a close friend.

About Richmond Theatre

The Victorian Richmond Theatre, which opened on 18 September 1899 with a performance of As You Like It, is one of the best examples of work by theatrical architect Frank Matcham. The interior is ornate, with lots of gilt detailing and plush fabrics. More about Richmond Theatre
