The Zaha Hadid-designed gallery acts as the Serpentine's second space, and will feature a new gallery, restaurant and social space. Located on the north side of the Serpentine Bridge, the space gives life to the former, 19th century gunpowder store, The Magazine, and will host both exhibitions and events.

About Serpentine Sackler Gallery

Serpentine Sackler Gallery opens on 28th September 2013. The Serpentine Gallery is making a significant expansion in September 2013, restoring a former gunpowder depot not far from its original gallery in Kensington Gardens. The Magazine, a Palladian style villa built in 1805 to store arms, will be restored to a design by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Zaha Hadid into an exciting new 900 metre square gallery space.
