The Testament Of MaryActress Fiona Shaw and director Deborah Warner collaborate once again on this powerful and moving piece of theatre, an adaptation of Colm Toibin's 2013 Man Booker Prize-shortlisted novel in which the Virgin Mary struggles to come to terms with the death of her son, reflecting on his life and the events that led up to the crucifixion. The Testament of Mary received three Tony Award nominations for its 2013 Broadway run; these May dates at the Barbican will be its only UK performances. Suitable for ages 14+. Contains nudity and a live vulture.
