The Tiger Lillies: The Rime of the Ancient MarinerThe 'godfathers of alternative cabaret', The Tiger Lillies, present their own unique repackaging of The Rime of the Ancient Mariner as part of the Southbank Centre's Festival of Neighbourhood. The band's take on Coleridge's well-known tale translates into 25 songs enhanced by large-scale virtual sets designed by Mark Holthusen. After a hit run of Hamlet at the Southbank Centre in 2012, the band - who are 'unique, unapologetically offensive [and] raucously funny.' (The Independent) - return with another adaptation of a macabre classic. "Think music hall performed by the undead", says Matt Trueman in The Telegraph.
