Flying the flag for sexual diversity and queer visibility in cinema, this annual festival - now entering its 21st year - just gets better and better. Expect a blend of up-to-the-minute work on gay issues from gay actors and directors, as well as a splattering of camp classics. The festival likes to touch on all corners of cinema; serious documentaries, big-budget features, sophisticated art movies, literary adaptations and even light-hearted romantic comedies and soap operas share the screen. This year's gala screenings include the brilliantly-titled right-of-passage movie 'Itty Bitty Titty Committee', and Duncan Roy's 21st century adaptation of 'The Picture of Dorian Gray', whilst 'Rag Tag' combines Brit, black and gay genres, and 'Tuli' explores lesbianism in a tribal context. The movies are on display throughout the country, but the National Film Theatre, Odeon West End and Institute of Contemporary Arts will, as usual, be showing the bulk of the films.
