Twenty-six years after the release of the first Star Wars film, the cycle has been completed, with the release of the sixth film. The first chance to see all six together arrives on the same day, with this special Leicester Square screening.
Since the travesty that was The Phantom Menace, we've been unable to get very excited about the new films, but the chance to see the entire sextet is a different matter. For those who grew up utterly obsessed with all things Star Wars, and there are several million of us out there, this is the culmination of a lifelong dream: starting at 7am, and not leaving the Star Wars universe ALL DAY. There'll be free Star Wars music and a garrison of Stormtroopers in the square just to keep you in the mood.
That said, it might be worth taking a little break in mid-afternoon, and skipping Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Nobody needs to see Jah-Jah Binks more than once in their life.
