This HouseThe country faces an economic crisis and there's a hung parliament. If you are a sick MP you're still expected to make your way through the lobby to cast your vote. There are fist fights a-plenty in the Westminster bars, and the parties' whips bend the rules, but not all the time. Following a successful run at National Theatre's Cottesloe, James Graham's 1974-set drama now transfers to the Olivier. Based in the engine rooms of Westminster, the play strips back politics and takes a brutal but humorous perspective of Britain's government. "There's tremendous fun here, as Graham contrasts the ancient rituals of parliament with the grubby realities of party politics" (The Guardian).

About National Theatre: Olivier Theatre

The largest of the National Theatre's three auditoriums, the Olivier Theatre lends itself to grand spectacles staged by the National. The imposing theatre on the South Bank is the spiritual centre of London's theatreland, and the heart of the British theatrical tradition. More about National Theatre: Olivier Theatre
