Tiger TerritoryOn Friday 22nd March 2013, the Sumatran tigers at London Zoo brand new five star 3.6 million home, five times the size of their previous enclosure, opened to the public. The new Tiger Territory space has been designed with the tigers needs in mind so that means they get trees to scratch on and climb up, a custom-built pool (tigers, unlike most cats, love water), and feeding poles which recreate their feeding habits in the wild. Visitors can observe the impressive felines up close through floor-to-ceiling glass windows while finding out about the important efforts being made to conserve and protect these beautiful big cats.

About ZSL London Zoo

London Zoo in Regent's Park is one of the world's most famous zoos and home to over 12,000 animals. 'Meet the Animals' shows are held daily, giving visitors the opportunity to learn more about the animals from their keepers. Rare and beautiful creatures can be seen in the Aquarium, Gorilla Kingdom, the Clore Rainforest Lookout, Penguin Pool, Butterfly Paradise and in the Blackburn Pavilion - home to more than fifty species of birds.
