Just when you thought there wasn't enough live music spilling outdoors this summer, along comes this small yet perfectly free festival to whet the appetite. The middle Sunday in July will see crowds cram into the close confines of Denmark Street in the West End for a day of live, loud music. On the line-up so far are Help She Can't Swim, Tiger Force, We Start Fires and The People's Revolutionary Choir. Last year the arrival of 6000 revellers turned this quiet street off Charing Cross Road into a hubbub of guitars, voices and moving bodies. Denmark Street's long association with the music industry and a fastidiously chosen line-up means this is the muso's festival for the summer. The gig hopes to raise awareness of homelessness charity Shelter.
